Just like Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “Live in the sun, swim in the sea, drink the wild air.” In this diptych (2-part painting), I wanted to convey this thought, this longing and transform it artistically. We see an abstract ocean in magnificent shades of blue, almost feel the warmth of the sand and enjoy the rays of the sun, which dance around like spray, shimmering and swirling. The sky is part of the sea, it seems, water and air are in motion and yet radiate a deep, relaxing force, just like the view of the ocean. We enjoy the sound of the waves and forget the time. In this Diptych (made of two parts)I wanted to show how a coastal landscape can be interpreted in a contemporary way.
