With this painting "A New Morning in Summer", I felt inspired by the special mood and variety of colors in the mountains early in the morning. One can still glimpse the shimmer of the just risen sun, which seems to color the sky with delicate magenta tones. The meadows lie in front of us in lush green, damp from the dew of the night, and the mountains can be seen in the distance, embedded in a horizon that mixes with the shapes of white clouds, gray rock, mountain formations and land, almost like in the early morning mist. We see a landscape as if it were an inner landscape that radiates space and peace and invites us into a fairytale-like nature. With this work of art, Françoise Wattré conjured an abstract natural landscape that makes us feel light and free, as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe describes in this quote:
"Outside you feel big and free like the great outdoors that you have in front of your eyes.“
